Kitchen Witches

by Caroline Smith
Directed By Kristy Meanor
The Queens of Cuisine have been battling it out on the local cable network for 30 years. Then someone thinks it would be a great idea to team them up on the same cooking show. Years of rivalry and the fact they were in love with the same man years ago, means the television show will be anything but peaceful. Insults fly as thick and fast as the food. The resulting clash turns out to be a smash hit and the Kitchen Witches are indeed the stars of a new kind of cooking show. Winner of the 2005 Samuel French Canadian Playwriting Award.
Summer

By Rick Lewis
Directed by Hazel Jones
During WWII, Hollywood stars and starlets made it their duty to entertain "the boys." G. I. JUKEBOX is a night at the Stage Door Canteen. The cast sings some of the best music of the twentieth century, mostly in four-part harmony. Act 1 is set in uniform khaki, while Act 2 brings out the tuxedos and gowns. The musical numbers span big band, swing and Latin - it's a musical retrospective of an America we'll never see again.
Fall

By Tom Rooney
Directed by Gary Black
Two not so savvy entrepreneurs and burned out postal workers, decide to start their own business and try their very inexperienced hands at opening a restaurant. Their decision is based upon the observation that the ladder to success at the post office is missing a few rungs. They feel that big money is waiting for people with entrepreneurial spirit and sound business judgment. From their attempts to hire a staff - an impaired deaf/mute chef, an Hispanic busboy... who claims to be Norwegian and an unemployed actor/waiter - to the food critic , mounted policeman and a geriatric hit man , who visit the restaurant, chaos reigns. The new gourmet health food restaurant flounders so they concoct a scheme to stage a faux mob hit to drum up business. After all, Zippy's, a popular cross town spot, has been crowded ever since Cy Manamalancia, a notorious mobster, was shot there and that was over twenty years ago. What if someone could get murdered in their restaurant? Flaming Idiots is a contemporary farce which delivers up far more laughs than food.
